Born on June 3, 1956, Darrell grew up in a large, loving family with six siblings. Despite being the second youngest, he displayed remarkable leadership qualities even as a young boy, setting a strong foundation for his future family.

Darrell met and fell in love with Terry Sue Corcoran in 1974, and they were married the following year. Together, they welcomed their son Brian into the world in 1983. He was not only an amazing father but also an incredible husband to Terry, who survives him along with his son, daughter-in-law Jana, and granddaughters Hallie and Emma.

Darrell's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He 'bled purple' for the Boerne Greyhounds, a testament to his unwavering dedication and loyalty. His tough exterior belied a generous and loving heart that touched countless lives.

Sadly, Darrell passed away on October 20, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father Edgar Jonas, mother Amanda Jonas, brother Billy Pat Jonas, father-in-law Corky Corcoran, and brother-in-law Robert Fox.
